About Rumina Ubera
Where Lactation and Love Cultivate
'Rumina' or 'Diva Rumina' is the name of the Roman goddess of breastfeeding mothers and nursing infants. More of an etherial being than the later personas of Roman deities, her temple once had a fig tree in which people made offerings of milk rather than wine. 'Ubera' is the Latin word for breasts, and therefore this website is named after the breasts of the lactating Goddess.
I founded Rumina Ubera in 2023 as a dream career to prosper peace and education to mothers who may be struggling with breastfeeding or hope to learn new information. Breastfeeding can aid in health for mothers and children in numerous ways, and breastfeeding classes are a great place to start. I like to dispel the pressure on mothers and partners to be 'perfect', whether in breastfeeding or general life, as each new thing in life is a journey. Growing is best achieved through support.
Being a Lactation Counselor is about having compassion and trust, educating, and supporting powerful women or lactating individuals and their partner, family, or friends. Breastfeeding can be difficult at times, but with the right support and information, you can feel connected to the capabilities of your breasts and the sacred connection you have to your child.
Zoe Rosenthal
Lactation Specialist and Childbirth Educator
My passion for lactation and childbirth emerged from my desire to help women connect to themselves. Not only did I want them to view their body as a temple, but to know that they are a strong, important giver of life and energy.

In 2023, I studied with Healthy Children Project: Center for Breastfeeding, and became a Certified Lactation Counselor in September with Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice.
I also studied for a year, starting in 2022, with the Lamaze approach to childbirth education, and obtained a comprehensive understanding of prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care. I have completed the Lamaze seminar and am planning to take the official exam in 2024. I briefly learned about breastfeeding in Lamaze as part of the postpartum period, which also sparked my interest.

Apart from Lactation and Childbirth, I was a Preschool Teacher before focusing full-time on Rumina Ubera. I also enjoy traveling to different countries, learning Spanish, and spending time with my dog.
